I grew up in Colleyville, Texas, and graduated from CCA. I attended Tarleton State University and graduated with a degree in Agronomy and Range Management with a minor in Biology. I returned back to school and completed my teacher certification. I have worked only in Christian education. Most of my teaching years were in Granbury, Texas, before returning to my alma mater.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A meteorologist
Why do you choose to work at CCA? For several reasons: I love what I gained from my education at CCA; I love the growth and development of the school; I want my daughter to be a CCA alumni; I love being able to teach and lead in an environment that is centered around Christ with others who want the same for our next generations.
What is one fun fact about you? I recently placed 36 out of 1006 competitors in the Bank of America Stair Climb for Leukemia and 8th out of all women.
What is your favorite book of all time? Charlotte's Webb by E.B. White - I had a wonderful teacher who read this aloud to our class daily after lunch. She read with such feeling and brought the book to life. I looked forward to this time each day, and it left a long-lasting impact.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? Laughter and words of appreciation/kindness
