I grew up in Longview, Texas, and graduated from Longview High School. I received my Bachelor of Science in secondary education from Baylor University, where I met my husband, John. I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M Commerce. I have taught in Huntsville I.S.D, Ferris I.S.D, Pantego Christian Academy, and Denton Calvary Academy. I was blessed to be able to take a long 16-year break in the middle of that to raise my four children. I began working at Denton Calvary Academy in 2009, where I did various jobs, including teaching, admissions, and academic and college advising over the next 12 years. All my children are Denton Calvary graduates, and my husband and I, along with our four children, attend(ed) Baylor.
