Rachel Chapman
The DFW area has always been home to me. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science Pre-Law from Howard Payne University and my Master of Science in Child Development from Texas Woman’s University. I spent several years working as a Certified Child Life Specialist at a local Children’s Hospital before transitioning to teaching in 2015. I have taught pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, most recently in Hurst Euless Bedford ISD.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? When I was 3, I wanted to be a garbage woman.
Why do you choose to work at CCA? I love the partnership between family, school, and church to help students grow in every area of their lives.
What is one fun fact about you? I love to travel both domestically and internationally!
What is your favorite book of all time? The Diary of Anne Frank. I like being able to get a glimpse into Anne's thoughts and experiences from that time period of history as well as seeing her courage and resilience expressed throughout the book.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? Seeing my nephews, coffee, and piñatas. :)
What do you like to do for fun? I like to spend time with family and friends, bake, workout, travel and read.
