I was born in Massachusetts, but my family got to Texas as fast as they could! I graduated from Fort Worth Christian and then went on to earn a BFA from Baylor University in 2001. I have previously taught in Northwest ISD and Birdville ISD. I have classroom experience in teaching Art, Kindergarten, and First Grade. My husband and I have 2 children here at CCA. Our son is in 11th grade, and our daughter is in 7th.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A veterinarian
Why do you choose to work at CCA? As a product of Christian education, I always had the desire to one day make a move from public school to private school. I also desired that for my own children. I had a lot to learn about Classical Education when I got here, but it continues to inspire me to be a lifelong learner and a better teacher. Above all, the most important work is the opportunity I have to teach from a biblical worldview and reach the whole child, down to what is in their heart.
What is one fun fact about you? On a family trip to London, we saw the Queen of England and the Royal family.
What is your favorite book of all time? Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers - It is truly a one-of-a-kind story that tells just how unconditional God’s love is.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? Jeremy Whitten or chips & queso- They are pretty much neck and neck!
What do you like to do for fun? Spend time at home
