Lauren Edens
I grew up in Arlington, TX, then moved to North Richland Hills in 2012. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications from Baylor University. Go Bears! After graduating, I received my Alternative Teaching Certification from McLennan Jr. College. I did not pursue a career in education but instead went into recruiting/business management and engineering in the national defense industry (Lockheed Martin). My husband and I have been married for 15 years. We have two children who attend CCA (Addyson, 3rd grade, and Cade, 7th grade). I started working at CCA in April 2022, and I absolutely love my job! I am blessed to be a part of such an amazing team.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? a teacher
Why do you choose to work at CCA? I volunteered a lot and loved being involved at school - so much so that I decided to apply for a permanent position. Best decision ever! I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve our CCA families and students.
What is one fun fact about you? I did both school and competitive cheer in JH and HS. In HS, I competed in the National Best Cheerleader competition and placed 8th in Nation. I went on to pursue cheerleading at Baylor University, but that season ended very quickly due to a serious knee injury.
What is your favorite book of all time? I love personal development books. John Maxwell is one of my favorite authors.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? Spending time with friends and family
What do you like to do for fun? Watching our kids play sports (this keeps us very busy!), traveling, going to the movies, date nights, going to lunch/dinner with friends
