Landon Rhodes
I'm an eighth-generation Texan and am proud of it! I've spent my whole life in the DFW area, aside from my time at Oklahoma State -- GO POKES! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications in 2016 and hurried back to my people in Texas as soon as I could. Before coming to Covenant, I worked for Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco as their Communication Specialist and Creative Media Coordinator as well as their Head JV and Assistant Varsity Volleyball coach. God then called me to a new area of ministry with The Champion Group, where I was their Creative Brand Specialist. After working remotely for two years, God put in on my heart to be back in the school setting where I could mix my passions for Marketing, Discipleship, and Volleyball all in one place. My husband and I moved to Fort Worth after getting married in July of 2022, and we could not be happier to be a part of the CCA community!
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? As a child, I wanted to be on SNL. It still is a dream of mine... maybe one day!
Why do you choose to work at CCA? I love being able to use my gift and passions all in one place to Glorify the Lord!
What is one fun fact about you? My name makes everyone second guess who I am when meeting me. You can thank my parents for that one!
What is your favorite book of all time? The Gifts of Imperfection -- Each day we face a barrage of images and messages from society and the media telling us who, what, and how we should be. We are led to believe that if we could only look perfect and lead perfect lives, we'd no longer feel inadequate. It taught me how to cultivate the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, no matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? Intentional conversation!
What do you like to do for fun? I love doing photography on the side - family, seniors, engagements, and newborn shoots are my favorite!
