Kara Maldonado
I have lived in the H-E-B area all of my life. I have a diverse educational background including homeschool, private school, and public school. I graduated from UT Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and later completed my post-baccalaureate teaching certification in secondary Science. My work experience includes management, event parking, and scheduling. I also worked as a medical scribe in emergency medicine and orthopedics for 3 years. CCA has been part of our family for many years; my brother- and sister-in-law are CCA alumni. My husband, Ryan, and I are excited to continue the CCA traditions with our own three children. We attend Gateway Church in North Richland Hills.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor
Why do you choose to work at CCA? I work at CCA because I support the school's mission and core values. The faculty and staff at CCA are genuine followers of Christ who seek the best in themselves, each other, and their students each day. It's an incredible blessing to work here and be so close to my kids.
What is one fun fact about you? I recently started collecting “vintage” Polly Pocket sets - only years 1989-1996 (the good ones!).
What is your favorite book of all time? Usually whichever book I’m currently reading!
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? Hearing my kids laugh, movie night with my husband, or a drink from HTeaO
What do you like to do for fun? Disc golf, exercise, read, eat, work with my hands, watch boxing, anything and everything outdoors
