Grady Moyer
I was born and raised in Grapevine, TX, and educated in the public school system from K-12. When praying for the future, God directed me to prepare for missions, so I went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and took their single undergraduate degree. By the time I graduated in the summer of 2022, my B.A. in Humanities and Biblical Studies had been two years extinct—to my professors' praise. While finishing college, I began "teaching" or leading in the after-school program at CCA, where God impressed upon me the great responsibility of guarding and nurturing the hearts and minds of his children. Full-time teaching at CCA answered many prayers: for a challenge, teaching position, and discipleship opportunities.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? In Pre-school, I was quoted saying I wanted to be a "Daddy and a boat rider" when I grew up. So far, I'm one for two.
Why do you choose to work at CCA? We are united in Christ and a Christ-centered, God-glorifying education. From that unity, I am also connected to staff, students, and families through my local church, so I have been invested in what happens here for some time.
What is one fun fact about you? I usually fall asleep in under one second, and I wake up an average of 80 times a night.
What is your favorite book of all time? Can I answer anything but God's Word? If I didn't have it, all other books would become worthless. Ecclesiastes is my favorite book in the Bible.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? My wife (and practicing thankfulness)
What do you like to do for fun? Win and compete. I like to win board games, yard games, trivia, sports—anything with clear rules.
