I traveled a lot in my childhood. I lived in Hawaii, Texas, Arkansas, and again back to Texas. In my adult life, I have lived in Colorado, Texas, and Florida. Someday I would love to move back to Colorado, which I consider home. I studied drama and theatre all of my years in high school and junior high and then began performing in college and community theatres after graduation. When I was 22, I auditioned for a select musical theatre conservatory, a two-year intensive singing, acting, and dancing program. I then set my sights on performing in Chicago and then New York. However, God had a plan. I would soon meet my husband and work in corporate America to support my theatre habit. A few years later, I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business at Northwood University. I went on performing and directing in churches, schools, and children's theatre until I was called to full-time teaching and directing. I then completed my Master's of Education with a theatre pedagogy focus. I have one daughter who is a senior at Sam Houston University, and my husband is in finance.
