I grew up in Arlington, Texas. I was the fifth child in my family of eight. I earned a BBA at the University of Texas Arlington. I worked full-time while in school, waiting tables at Steak and Ale in Arlington. I worked for Brinker Corp. and helped expand Steak and Ale all over Texas in the late 1970s. I volunteered as a college student in Young Life, where I met my husband, Jimmy, as a leader at LD Bell High School. We were married within three months. We are very active in volunteering with YL in this area. We have four children, Micah, Calah, Hudson, and Jackson. We came to CCA in 1986 and started Micah in first grade. My family stayed through many changes, school splits, building campaigns, and many wonderful years. I started working in 1998 as the Athletic Director to hold together our sports teams while we rebuilt after the split. I have been AD, PE teacher, I started our cheer squad, wrote the fight song, volleyball coach, basketball coach, Math teacher, Facilities Director, computer teacher, Admissions Director, Dean of Students, and CASP teacher.
