Brian Thomas

High School English Teacher

I studied literature and theology at Dallas Baptist University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts and went on to the University of Dallas for my Master of Humanities degree. I have used every opportunity to find the points of intersection between the fields of literature, philosophy, and theology. I began teaching as an instructor for the homeschooling community at co-ops and later moved into private schools where I taught Latin, literature, and film studies.

Why do you choose to work at CCA? This is a healthy environment for my family to grow spiritually and intellectually.

What is one fun fact about you? I used to get paid to watch cartoons.

What is your favorite book of all time? The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky is the most rewarding read I have come across on my endeavors.

What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? A brief respite from the bustle into a moment of silence

What do you like to do for fun? I derive great joy from reading, watching films, and rare trips to the Dallas Opera.
