I grew up in the bayous of south Louisiana. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History at LSU in 1994. My husband, Steve, and I worked at the Dunham School in Baton Rouge, where I taught 9-12th history. In 2011, I started teaching at Covenant, where I have taught 7th & 8th US History, 9th Humanities, and 7th Bible.

Why do you choose to work at CCA? so many reasons...community, Christ-centered, classical, college preparatory academics

What is one fun fact about you? I had to learn to walk when I was 40.

What is your favorite book of all time? Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark. T. Sullivan - I love historical fiction--especially WWII. Why do I love this book so much? Well, Pino Lella is a forgotten hero--not one that you study in the history books. However, he represents the many average people that were needed to win this war. Pino Lella shows that empathy, love for others, and kindness still survived amidst tyranny and oppression. Read it!

What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? A hug from a student
