Amy Turner
I grew up in a small town in North Carolina called Cherryville. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Elementary Education. I have taught in both public and private schools in North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia before moving to Texas and continuing my calling at Covenant Christian Academy.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I have always known I wanted to be a teacher. My oldest sister was a teacher and was a big inspiration to me.
Why do you choose to work at CCA? I love teaching at a Christian school in Georgia. I knew I wanted to teach at a Christian school in Texas, as well. I wanted my children to attend a Christian school. Through friends in Sunday school, I learned about CCA.
What is one fun fact about you? I love to fish.
What is your favorite book of all time? I like anything Dr. Seuss because it reminds me of being a kid and reading those books to my own children.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? A hug from one of my second graders
What do you like to do for fun? I like to travel.
