Amber Coley
I am a Texas girl, born and raised. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in Kinesiology and Child Development from the University of Texas at Arlington. My certification is All-Level Physical Education. I enjoy being in the gym and helping students be active. Before coming to CCA, I taught PE in Keller ISD for nine years and then stayed home for a few years to be with my kids. I have an eighth-grade son and a fourth-grade daughter at CCA.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A pilot, maybe even a fighter pilot
Why do you choose to work at CCA? Teaching at CCA has been one of my biggest blessings. I love being able to teach with a Christian worldview and to be able to speak the truth about who God is and what He says about us.
What is one fun fact about you? A few years ago, we sold our house, bought an RV, and traveled to 49 of the 50 states. It took us over six months, but we had a blast. We saw so many amazing places and ate a lot of delicious food! Once we returned to Texas, we bought a house and sold the RV. It was an incredible experience, and we would love to do it again in the US or a different country!
What is your favorite book of all time? Everybody, Always by Bob Goff - It's an encouraging book about how life is messy. Of course, we are all a little messy, but loving people is something we are called to and helps us become who God has called us to be.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? An encouraging word from someone and maybe chocolate.
What do you like to do for fun? I love to travel! Being outdoors and exploring makes me happy. Also, hanging out with family and friends.
