Explore a Classical Approach at Our Private School in Colleyville

As a parent, you always want what’s best for your child — especially when it comes to their education and their relationship with God.

You’ll find both a rigorous, time-tested curriculum and dedicated teachers who encourage a biblical worldview at Covenant Christian Academy in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. Through our classical, Christian approach, your child will:

Faith Formation

Think critically and be able to articulate their beliefs

Foundational Learning

Use classic literature and primary resources to build an unshakable faith and a love of learning

Fellowship & Growth

Study logic, Latin, and the art of rhetoric so they can confidently lead themselves and others

An Education that Grows With Your Child

In the classical model, the curriculum aligns with your child’s natural development. For example, in the younger years, your child naturally absorbs and repeats information. We use that time to build a foundation of all the core knowledge they will need in middle school. We call this stage grammar.

As your middle schooler begins to question and become more independent, they’ll piece together what they already know and learn how to research and think through deeper ideas and concepts. This stage is called logic.

Finally, as your teen grows in wisdom, they’ll start to effectively articulate ideas and arguments. They’ll practice persuading and leading. This is the rhetoric stage.

At Covenant Christian, our teachers are experts in classical education and in their fields of study. Thanks to our school serving students in PreK through 12th grade, those same teachers invest in your child’s education for years. They might teach your child phonics, pray with them in middle school, and read their college essays.

Pre-K

(Ages 3-4)

I love doing Bible in my classroom. We get to sing songs like “Jesus Loves Me.” I really like that we get to learn about God every day of the week, not just at church!

I am learning to read this year and like going to the library with my class! I also enjoy being challenged in math. Ms. Chapman helps us understand with hands-on activities.

We especially love dropping off our youngest sister in the Early Childhood hallway in the morning. We get to say hi to all of our old teachers we have had since Pre-K3 as we walk through the building to our classes. We can’t imagine going to any other school because we feel so safe here and love the class sizes being small. It feels like home.

(Grades 5-8)

I participate in musical theater, cross country, soccer, track, and choir. It’s great that I have so much opportunity. I love that Covenant is big enough that the teams and competition are strong, while small enough that I can tryout for football next year if I want to play an additional sport. If I were at a public school, I would have to choose something before knowing what I am most passionate about.

CCA has allowed me the ability to try my hand at a variety of opportunities including academics, athletics, music, leadership roles, and more. These opportunities have aided me in charting out my next steps in life, specifically in preparation for college, and guided me in the discovery of my truest identity in Christ.

An Education that Honors the Whole Child

You see your child as more than a student—and so do we. Our college-prep curriculum is designed to not only get our graduates into a university or career but also prepare them for the entire life that God has in store for them.

That’s why we include your child’s spiritual, social, and physical well-being as part of their education.

We offer everything from championship-winning athletics and a well-respected fine arts program to clubs, modern extracurriculars, and even a house system that unites our student body and provides leadership opportunities.

Your child’s emotional safety is prioritized by intentionally limiting class sizes and teaching how to have healthy, Christ-like relationships. And we strive to live out our statement of faith in every class, every chapel, and every interaction.

Over the last several years, there have been countless times that my adult children have commented about how their experience at CCA has influenced their lives- from confidence in giving presentations, appreciating famous works of art, and the ability to approach difficult topics critically. Not only were they more than prepared for their college education, they were encouraged in their Christian faith journey and we couldn’t be more proud of the people they have become.”
