Lauren McEndree
I grew up right around the corner in Grapevine and graduated from CCA in 2008. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Education from Abilene Christian University in 2012. I taught in Abilene for 1.5 years before returning to DFW. Upon moving back, I met my husband and went on to try other avenues of work. Yet the spark for teaching never left! After having my first son, Ezra, I returned to education in HEBisd. For the following couple of years, I taught 1st and 3rd grade at a private school in Dallas. This past year after the birth of my son, Asher, I decided it was time to teach closer to home. Returning to Covenant seemed like the best answer to that prayer.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? As a child, I wanted to be whatever my mom was! My mom was a teacher, nurse, and a flight attendant. I always wanted to follow in her footsteps. However, my family members recall me being a teacher to my stuffed animals and dolls!
Why do you choose to work at CCA? Because I know what it's like to be a student at CCA, I couldn't wait to come back, teach, relate to, and love on the students.
What is one fun fact about you? My husband and I are budding entrepreneurs! We would love to own our own business one day.
What is your favorite book of all time? I have yet to find a favorite book. I really enjoy reading, but I haven't found a book that holds that title.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? A walk outside in the sun and a good cup of coffee!
What do you like to do for fun? Be outside with my family! Whether it's going on a family run, sitting outside at our favorite coffee shop, or exploring a park, the outdoors are crucial to our family.
