Making a Covenant Education Possible

Tuition Assistance

Choosing a Christ-centered, college-preparatory education is a meaningful investment. We know for many families, it can feel out of reach. Tuition Assistance at Covenant Christian Academy exists to bridge that gap—so a diverse community of students can be equipped for kingdom purpose in college and beyond.

We believe what happens here matters. We see the fruit in our graduates’ lives, and it grieves us when an empty seat goes unfilled simply because of financial constraints. If you’re unsure you can afford CCA, we encourage you to apply.

What to Expect

  • Need-based awards. Assistance is determined by an independent assessment of your family’s ability to pay. A demonstrated need is required.
  • Typical award range. Assistance is generally capped at 50% of tuition.
  • Privacy you can count on. Your application information is confidential and reviewed by a small, designated committee.
  • We’ll clearly communicate what we need and when we need it—so you’re never left guessing about next steps.

2026-2027 Key Dates

Priority Consideration

  • Current families: complete the full application by December 15, 2025
  • New families: complete the full application by January 20, 2026

You may still apply after these dates; however, late applications are reviewed as funds remain available. We’ll begin reviewing your tuition assistance application after your admissions process is complete.

Who Can Apply

Families with students entering Kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible to apply for Tuition Assistance.

How to Apply (Step-by-Step)

  1. Apply online. FACTS charges a $45 application fee. Be careful to choose the correct school year (2026-27).
  2. Upload your 2024 tax return, including all W2s, 1099s, forms, and schedules.  Applications are not considered complete until all tax documents are received by FACTS. Please note that failure to submit all required documents promptly will delay the processing of your tuition assistance application.
  3. After reviewing the FACTS report, we’ll email if any additional documents or clarification are needed.
  4.  Awards are communicated via email once your application is complete and reviewed.

Frequently Asked Questions

We continue to review applications as long as funds are available. Late applications are considered, but awards may be lower, and processing may take longer.

Covenant believes a well-funded, need-based tuition assistance program increases the number of qualified candidates available to our community and, as a result, strengthens our school. For this reason, CCA purposefully sets aside a portion of our budget every year for tuition assistance. CCA also has many generous donors who give to the Christian Leaders’ Scholarship Endowment fund.  The CLSE provides scholarship funding for qualified families and helps release budgeted funds for strategic community needs.

No. Submitting an application for assistance is not a factor considered in admissions criteria.

Awards vary by family circumstance. Assistance is typically limited to no more than 50% of tuition.

Yes. Financial circumstances change, and funds are re-allocated annually.

Tuition assistance awards are based on financial need as determined by FACTS, following a confidential analysis of household income, assets, and qualified expenses as reported on the FACTS Grant and Aid application. The CCA Tuition Assistance Committee reviews FACTS’ assessment of need and determines awards based on FACTS’ recommendation and available budgeted funds. The committee views certain lifestyle and financial decisions as within your discretion and therefore not primary factors in assessing financial need.

No. There’s no set income cutoff.  Each application is evaluated individually, taking into account the full picture of the family’s financial situation.

Yes. We are blessed with a diverse community united by shared values, not income level.  Approximately 20% of students receive assistance, reflecting our commitment to accessibility and diversity within our school community.

Re-enrolling families who meet the Priority Consideration deadline of December 15 are notified of results prior to the deadline for continuous enrollment. New families will be notified of their awards upon acceptance.  We recommend prospective families complete admissions and tuition assistance applications simultaneously prior to January 20.

You can meet with Joy Hale to review all the details of your application and ensure we haven’t missed any important information regarding your current financial situation.

Texas’ ESA program is slated to launch for the 2026–27 school year. If your family receives ESA funds after your Tuition Assistance award is issued, CCA may reassess and adjust your award or net tuition to reflect the new funding. Your net tuition will not exceed the amount you would have owed under your original CCA award.

No. CCA is committed to protecting your privacy and treats your tuition assistance application and information as confidential. Tuition assistance awards are determined by a small committee, and no one outside of the committee and the business office is aware of which families apply. In order to maintain this discretion, we ask you to assist us by keeping your tuition assistance information (including award amounts) confidential.
