Stephanie Milligan

PreK-3 Teacher

My husband and I met and married while completing our degrees in Education at The University of Oklahoma in the early 2000s. I majored in Early Childhood Education and completed my degree in 2005. We decided I would stay home to raise the babies and naturally fell into homeschooling. This lifestyle allowed our family to follow my husband's career from Texas to Oklahoma and California before settling back into Texas for good in 2019. We drove past Covenant Christian every day for a year before coming to tour the school and immediately felt God leading us here. We joined the Covenant family in August of 2021 and haven't looked back. This community welcomed our boys and family with open arms, and we know, without a doubt, God led us here.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A teacher

Why do you choose to work at CCA? Every day, I get an opportunity to teach children about the love of Christ and the educational skills needed to grow into the best version of themselves. As a public school substitute last year, I had to sign a form promising never to talk about God, play Christian music, or pray with my students. I never felt good about signing the form and could not pursue teaching in the public school again.

What is one fun fact about you? I have embraced my boys' love of soccer so much that I joined an adult team and enjoy losing games with them every Sunday afternoon at Stampede.

What is your favorite book of all time? The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah - It's a story about survival.

What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? A hug or genuine conversation or a large unsweet iced tea

What do you like to do for fun? Watch my boys play soccer, hike, take naps, play with my dogs, walk on the beach.
