I grew up in and around Wichita Falls, Texas. I moved to DFW in 2012 to attend Dallas Baptist University. While at DBU, I earned my BA in Christian Studies and my MA in Christian Ministry. I am also currently writing my dissertation for my Ph.D. in Leadership from DBU, and I expect to graduate in May of 2023. DBU was also where I met my wife, Holly - we met on move-in day! We became fast friends, and our relationship bloomed from it. We were married in 2016. We now live in Richardson with our dog, Briley. Before coming to CCA, I served as a youth pastor and then a college pastor at a couple of churches around DFW. I moved to CCA because I have felt a calling toward education, and I love getting to teach and disciple our students!
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A meteorologist
Why do you choose to work at CCA? I have felt called to education for some time now. I love getting to educate and disciple students all week rather than just once or twice, as I did when I worked in a church. In addition, CCA's commitment to truth, goodness, and beauty is something for which I have a deep passion.
What is one fun fact about you? In college, I won an international preaching competition.
What is your favorite book of all time? I love Crime and Punishment! Dostoevsky's portrayal of the moral turmoil and journey for Raskolnikov has always captured my interest and attention.
What is one thing that can instantly make your day better? A good cup of tea!
What do you like to do for fun? I love reading, hiking, and spending time with my family.
