Traditions at Christmas time are a big deal in our house. We put up the Christmas tree on the Friday after Thanksgiving, listen to the same Christmas CDs, eat the same meal on Christmas Eve year after year, always bake and decorate cookies together (the kind you need a rolling pin and cookie cutters!), and we watch a lot of Christmas movies during the month of December.Christmas movies are a terrific way to celebrate the holidays. When you throw a quilt on the floor in front of the TV for a “picnic” dinner, or curl up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn, you can turn a simple movie into a fun time that brings the whole family together.
Here are a few suggestions of great Christmas movies – some you may have heard of before, and maybe a few you haven’t:
Kid Friendly
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas
Miracle on 34th Street (the old black and white from 1955, or the newer one from 1994)
For the Little Bit Older Crowd
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Old But Really Good
These are just a few of our favorites. Please comment below with your families favorite Christmas Movie.
