A Math Teacher with a Kingdom Purpose

why classical education is the best

Not long ago, the CCA leadership team asked teachers, “Why do you want to teach?”. I was busy teaching (and still am). Therefore, I did not respond. Perhaps, like Martin Luther would say, “I don’t have time to write a short letter.” Now, with my first book published on Amazon last month, I am asked, “Mr. Dang, why did you write your book?” Well, taking advantage of the three-day weekend between the transition into the second quarter, I am going to respond to both of those questions mentioned above.

Teaching is a noble task. The nobility is not only because teachers are held to a higher standard with greater accountability, but because teaching is also an example of what the Scriptures say: “being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from faith” (and love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control).

I teach because it is Him, our heavenly Father, who called me and gave me the passion and desire to do so. I love teaching because, through the art of teaching, the spiritual fruits grow in me daily. Teaching matures me and makes me a better person.

Education is expensive, but a lack of education is even more costly. CCA’s classical Christian education is indeed an education worth the investment, and it is significant for our children to accomplish before they enter college. On closer inspection, I wholeheartedly believe classical Christian education offers not only college preparedness but hope for humanity. As John Milton wrote, “The end of learning is to repair the ruins of our first parents.” To offer hope for humanity, we must comprehend the teachings of the kingdom of God. Therefore, I have written my first book, The Hidden Kingdom Treasure – Hope for Humanity.

understanding the kingdom of God through mathematics

Why does teaching the kingdom of God matter?

As the world continues to reel from the constant wave of pandemics, natural disasters, political unrest, and economic upheavals, we are looking for something to bring us hope and peace. What, where, and how can we find such hope and peace?

The Lord Jesus commanded us with a promise that we must seek first the kingdom of God (Matt. 6:33). Simply put, every spiritual blessing from above is wrapped up in the gift of “inheriting the kingdom prepared for you (us) from the foundation of the world” (Matt. 25:34). If we only understand it, the gift of inheriting the kingdom is the hope for humanity.

If you have not yet discovered what the hidden kingdom treasure is in Matt. 13, I invite you to read my book, The Hidden Kingdom Treasure.

Suppose you have not yet experienced the joy like the merchantman who valued the kingdom treasure to the degree that he would sell all he had to buy the costly pearl. In that case, I invite you to experience the joy of discovering the hidden kingdom.

If you want to grow into the biblical faith that can overcome the fears caused by the crises in your life and in the world, I invite you to discover the essential teaching of the kingdom of God, which overcomes the world.

If you desire to understand the biblical teachings of what the kingdom of God is; what Jesus meant when he uttered more than a hundred times the phrase “the kingdom of God”; what the relationship between the kingdom and the Church is, then, I invite you to review what I have discovered in the Bible.

If you have not yet realized the schemes of the Enemy (Satan) and how he works in your flesh, along with the pattern of sin from Gen. 3 to this present time, then I invite you to see these schemes of the Enemy so we can seriously put on the full armor of God and fight a good battle of faith.

If you wonder about the greatest Denominator uniting all Christian in the world as one Bride (of Christ), then I invite you to read my book.

If you ever wonder how to “codify” (or simplify) the kingdom of God into a simple form to illustrate the biblical pattern of God’s loving heart for His children, then I can’t wait for you to read my book.

Finally, suppose you genuinely desire to know how Jesus’ Church (Christian churches around the world) can become a blessing to all the families in the world and how we can bring hope to the end of the earth. In that case, I invite you to discover the kingdom model of unity presented in my book.

teaching God's kingdom in math

Overall, the ultimate goal of The Hidden Kingdom Treasure – Hope for Humanity is to deepen your understanding of God’s heart for humanity as you discover His kingdom plan. I hope and pray that after reading my book, you will come to realize the kingdom of God is the miracle of miracles. Once you receive it and comprehend it, you will have all that God has promised for you since the foundation of the world. The Lord Jesus said to his disciples, “Therefore, every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old” (Matt. 13:52). Hope for humanity begins in your heart where the King of kings dwells.

Thank you, CCA, for the blessings and the privileges of discovering, teaching, and growing through the wonderful subject of mathematics, along with all the biblical integrations behind math.

The Hidden Kingdom Treasure – Hope for Humanity is available for purchase on Amazon or if you are currently a part of our CCA community, you can request a copy from Mr. Dang.
