Greetings from the Grammar School Head
Grammar School plays a formative role in a child’s educational experience. Our program is designed to enable each student to master the foundational knowledge and skills needed to prepare him/her to advance through our curriculum. In the grammar phase of classical education, children’s minds are ready to absorb information through memorization and guided practice. CCA students are challenged with a rigorous, developmentally appropriate program. Godly, ACSI and state certified teachers nurture children spiritually, academically, and socially in a traditional classroom environment. Enrichment classes in computer, art, music, physical education and library offer additional opportunities for students to become well-rounded individuals and to discover their God-given abilities and talents.
CCA students have consistently earned top honors in ACSI speech, art, creative writing, science fair, music, and mathematics competitions. In addition to these ACSI events, CCA provides a rich and varied line-up of special events, chapel speakers, class mission projects and field trips that encourage and stimulate each child’s natural curiosity and desire to learn and to serve the needs of others.
