CCA Chorale at State Vocal Meet

The TAPPS State Vocal Meet results have been made official: CCA Chorale takes the Runner Up spot for 3A, which earned 8 points for CCA TAPPS overall! Twenty-three schools participated in the 3A category. Across all 5 divisions (1A-5A), 68 school participated and only 3 schools outscored us. All four of our CCA soloists also scored Ones. We are very proud of Chorale's musical growth and their dedication to excellence as singers and students.

To put it in perspective, 23 schools participated in the 3A category. Although both our CCA mixed and women made sweepstakes — and all four soloists scored Ones — we still ended up in second place. Scoring is cumulative based on numbers of entries per school. The winning 3A school didn't make "Ones" on stage, but they did well in SR and had many soloists/ensembles participate and earn superior ratings.

Enjoy one of our Chorale pieces this year, Take, O Take Those Lips Away  (Shakespeare text set by Emma Lou Diemer).
